Roles and responsibilities:

  • Ability to create OpenWrt packages : +5

  • Ability to modify existing OpenWrt packages : +2

  • Ability to create RDK-B Yocto recipes: +3

  • Experience with any kind of Linux based embedded system : +3

  • Ability to create simple Makefiles from memory and complex ones using references : +2

  • Fluency in C programming (pointers and structures compulsory) : +5

  • Understanding of the Linux / Unix / Solaris boot process and init scripts : +3

  • Ability to write shell scripts : +3

  • Ability to use 3rd party libraries by linking against them (using supplied documentation/reference) : +4

  • Ability to serialize and deserialize structured data interchange formats (any one from the table in https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_data-serialization_formats) : +3

  • Ability to use socket API in C : +4

  • Ability to use standard C library functions : +2

  • Ability to configure networking stack on Linux using basic commands (ifconfig, route, ip, dhclient, etc) : +5
